The 2010 Opera in the Vineyards at Balgownie Estate was truly a night to be remembered. Brian Castles-Onion returned to host the event in his inimitable quirky style. The evening was dedicate to Mozart featuring favourite arias from Cosi fan tutte, Don Giovanni, The Magic Flute and the Marriage of Figaro.
Take a bunch of passionate motorcycle enthusiasts from all over Australia, get them to bring their most prized possessions to the Healesville Racecourse, and you’ve got the 2010 Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club National Rally. The VJMC is a worldwide club with 4 separate branches in North America, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Alowyn Gardens is situated smack bang in the middle of the Yarra Valley just outside Yarra Glen. In 2008 the garden was named ABC Garden of the Year and deservedly so! As you meander through the 4 acres of visual and sensory delight, it’s hard to believe it was once a barren horse paddock!
The garden is designed along strong symmetrical lines that become blurred by the softness of the spaces and the grace of the trees.
